17.- WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU LEARNED VERY LATE IN LIFE, BUT WISH YOU KNEW MUCH EARLIER?

Here are some things I learned very late in life, but wish I knew much earlier:

  • It's okay to say no. I used to be a people-pleaser, and I would often say yes to things that I didn't really want to do. I've learned that it's okay to set boundaries and say no, and that it doesn't make me a bad person.

  • It's important to take care of myself. I used to neglect my own needs, and I would often put myself last. I've learned that it's important to take care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally.

  • It's okay to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, and it's how we learn and grow. I've learned to be more forgiving of myself, and to not beat myself up over mistakes.

  • It's important to live in the present moment. I used to dwell on the past or worry about the future, and I would often miss out on the present moment. I've learned to be more mindful and present, and to appreciate the here and now.

  • It's important to follow my dreams. I used to be afraid of failure, and I would often talk myself out of pursuing my dreams. I've learned that it's important to take risks and go after what I want, even if it's scary.

  • I'm still learning, and I'm sure I'll learn many more things throughout my life. But these are some of the things that I've learned late in life, and I wish I had known them sooner.
